About The Role

The associate recruitment manager is responsible for managing the end to end recruitment journey for the Digital Transformation contractor associates working collaboratively with project leads and other capability Heads of and alongside the Resource & Associate Managers to ensure correct associate hires are made for live pieces of work as well as planning for future roles.

This role also requires you to build and nurture our community of associates to build out strong and successful teams for our project delivery. 


This position sits within the Resourcing Team and reports directly to the Head of Resourcing & Operations. 

 

Responsibilities

End-to-End Associate Recruitment Management

  • Own the full process lifecycle for Digital Transformation contractor associates, from initial role brief and sourcing to final offer and handover to operations. 
  • Develop and refine contractor role profiles collaboratively with Project Leads and Capability Heads to ensure clarity and accuracy for live and pipeline work.
  • Manage sourcing channels, including direct outreach, previous and current associates, contractor agencies, job boards, and internal referrals, to build diverse and robust project teams and talent pool.
  • Conduct initial screening and assessment of contractor candidates, ensuring alignment with project needs, TPXimpact values, and necessary technical/domain expertise.
  • Coordinate and manage the interview process, including scheduling, gathering feedback, and ensuring a positive experience for the associate and project teams..
  • Negotiate contract terms and rates with candidates or agencies, ensuring compliance with budget constraints, margin and internal guidelines.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Strategic Resourcing

  • Work closely with Project Leads and Resource & Associate Managers to understand current project demands, skill gaps, and forecasted needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all contractor associate sourcing queries, providing timely updates and strategic guidance to stakeholders.
  • Plan proactively for future resourcing needs by maintaining a pipeline of pre-vetted contractor talent pools for anticipated roles and skills, reducing time-to-hire.
  • Report directly to the Head of Resourcing & Operations on sourcing performance, pipeline status, key metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, quality of hire), and market trends.

Associate Community Building & Management

  • Build, nurture, and maintain a thriving community of high quality Digital Transformation contractor associates.
  • Develop engagement strategies to keep the associate network informed, engaged, and available for future opportunities with TPXimpact.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date talent pool including contractor skills, availability, and performance history to facilitate efficient re-engagement for new projects.
  • Gather feedback from Project Leads on associate performance to ensure the continuous quality and success of the contractor pool.

Dimensions 

  • Budget: Ensure negotiated contractor rates and contract terms align with project budgets and Gross Margin targets, directly impacting project profitability.
  • Headcount: Part of a team of 7 including Resource Managers, and Associate Recruitment Managers. 
  • Resource complexity and nature of work teams: Work with both TPXimpact teams and our associate network. Coordinate associate planning across multi-disciplinary delivery requirements, sourcing individuals with diverse and specific technical/domain expertise. The work involves managing the speed, quality, and compliance of the associate to meet varying project scopes and technical demands. 
  • Problem solving responsibility and complexity: You'll be responsible for proactively identifying and resolving sourcing conflicts such as limited specialist availability in the market, or managing multiple conflicting hiring priorities across different projects.
  • Internal / External interactions: Build deep relationships with Project Leads, Capability Heads, and Resource & Associate Managers (Internal Stakeholders) to understand hiring needs. External:Build and nurture strong, professional relationships with the external contractor associate network 
  • Strategic timeframe working towards: Ensure the associate pipeline is robust and active to guarantee projects can secure the required skills and capacity to start on time. This impacts the company's ability to secure and mobilise new projects as planned

About You

Professional knowledge and experience

Experience
 
  • Contractor Sourcing and Engagement Expertise: Extensive, proven experience managing the full end-to-end process specifically for high-calibre external contractors or independent consultants/associates within Digital Transformation, public sector and DDAT domains. This must include expert knowledge of sourcing channels, competitive rate benchmarking and negotiation. 
  • A demonstrable ability to understand and translate complex programme demands, sales pipeline data, and capability needs into a proactive and scalable contractor sourcing strategy, ensuring the contractor supply pipeline anticipates future requirements.
  • Significant experience collaborating effectively with senior internal stakeholders (e.g., Programme Directors, Capability Heads) to define resource briefs, manage competing priorities, and influence time-critical decisions within a professional services or project delivery context.
  • Track record in establishing, growing, and actively managing a successful external associate pool or contractor network, implementing effective engagement strategies to maintain high levels of loyalty, professionalism, and availability.
  • Solid understanding of relevant legal and financial considerations concerning the engagement of UK-based external contractors/associates. This is particularly relevant to IR35 regulations, worker classification compliance, and best practice for contractual documentation.

Technical skills

  • Demonstrated skills in utilising a contractor management platform (e.g., dedicated resource management tool or excel / google sheets) to effectively segment, and track the availability and skills of the existing associate network.
  • High proficiency in using tools and outreach techniques such as linkedin, professional communities, referrals and talent pools to proactively identify, engage, and attract niche digital transformation associates.
  • Interviewing Skills: Proficiency in conducting interviews and assessing candidates' technical and soft skills to ensure a good fit for project teams.
  • Digital Collaboration and Workflow Tools: Experience with standard project and workflow management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Google Meet, Slack) to manage the internal process, coordinate interviewers, and communicate seamlessly with internal stakeholders across multi-disciplinary teams.
