About The Role


The individual will work within the Technical Operations Team to manage the decommissioning of unused and/or end-of-life software applications in use across our legacy IT estate. The individual will be provided with a list of identified software applications and take them through a series decommissioning tasks to successfully migrate, archive (if required) and shut them down. This will involve working with a wide variety of stakeholders from across the business and the Technical Operations Team will support in identifying the necessary technical plan for the decommissioning path of the applications. The outcome will be reduction in total software applications and cost within the business, and ultimately a simplified IT estate for the Group.


Responsibilities

  • Managing a list of software applications to be decommissioned

  • Tracking and completing various decommissioning tasks for various software applications across the business

  • Migrating legacy applications into Group infrastructure, as required

  • Archiving legacy data from applications into Group infrastructure, as required

  • Working with the Technical Operations Team to agree technical decommissioning path and related tasks for applications

  • Liaising with stakeholders to complete required technical tasks

  • Reporting back on progress to Technical Operations Team

About You

We are looking for a focused, motivated and organised individual to join our Technical Operations Team to actively progress our decommissioning strategy.
