About The Role

 

We are looking for a Purpose Director to lead our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) work on a 12 month fixed term contract. Reporting into the CFO and ESG committee, you will be responsible for the overall development and delivery of our ESG strategy. You will lead a team of ESG specialists in order to achieve our targets, satisfy regulations and maintain a purpose-led culture across the business.

Responsibilities
 
  • Leading a distributed ESG team, ensuring high outputs and proper cohesion across People, Planet, Community and Clients and effective collaboration with relevant departments
  • Developing & owning ESG strategy, including determining ESG-related goals/targets for agreement by company leadership group / other decision-making groups (eg plc board).
  • Responsible for formal reporting of non-financial data to the ESG committee and leadership team, translating raw data into insightful reports and recommendations
  • Ensuring TPXimpact achieves measurable ESG and other non-financial targets, demonstrating our commitment to actively managing the impact we have as a business.
  • Promoting ESG and impact work externally to enhance our client, employer and investor brand, demonstrating our ambition to have a global reputation for ESG in professional services.
  • Being the senior expert on ESG trends and developments; translating them into actionable proposals for improvements for our business, securing buy-in from relevant leaders; and contributing specialist expertise to growth teams as required.
  • Defining and implementing a portfolio of people, planet and community interventions that enhance organisational culture, support the achievement of our ESG goals.
  • Ensuring that ESG is embedded in company culture and operations beyond the realms of our People, Planet and Community programmes. 
  • Providing ESG and social value expertise and content for bids/proposals/pitches, enabling us to leverage our work in this area for competitive advantage.
  • Ensuring that all of our people are equipped and engaged in achieving our non-financial targets

  • Problem solving responsibility and complexity = high, technical knowledge of diverse ESG areas required in a fast evolving landscape and being able to apply these to changing company strategy and priorities.
  • Change management requirements = low, delivering against agreed strategy for the year.

About You

  • An excellent understanding of current ESG trends, laws and regulations 
  • Ability to analyse and interpret large amounts of research and data to extract and present insights
  • Strong line management skills with the ability to oversee diverse projects, skill sets and seniority levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate data  and tell stories in a way that is compelling and engaging for diverse audiences
  • Experience in owning and delivering against a budget
  • Experience working with and influencing senior stakeholders with competing priorities
