About The Role

We are looking for a QA Analyst to join our QA Engineering Team. You'll be working on CMS web based applications for some of the leading charities, local governments and cultural heritage sites in the UK. You will work alongside other QA Analysts, Developers and Delivery Managers as part of a Scrum team to ensure the products meet the agreed levels of quality.

Skills 

You grow your experience of Content Management Systems and project requirements by working with your peers and senior QA Analysts
  • You ask questions of your peers and seniors to help build your context and understanding of the projects you work on. For example by participating and collaborating in sprint planning to question and understand the project requirements 
  • You collaborate with other QA Analysts to provide accurate estimates for work to be delivered and set realistic expectations of what functionality can be tested by when

You deliver high quality software solutions on time and to budget

  • You have a good understanding of QA processes and methodologies and have hands on experience in an agile delivery 
  • You are able to analyse functional content on Jira tickets and provide feedback where necessary for content improvements
  • You are able to dissect the requirement and develop test cases for a broader test coverage of specific functionalities 
  • You are an expert in test execution, root cause analysis and attention to detail
  • You are able of identifying, logging and reporting bugs to developers
  • Competent in providing replicable steps of bugs identified and able to explain and aid development in replicating the bugs
  • You manage bugs assigned to a sprint in an effective manner and follow through resolution to confirmation testing
  • You assist in the creation and maintenance of regression test case library to ensure core functionality is consistent with new versions and upgrades
  • You are able to prioritise your own work against team objectives and sprint needs
  • You have experience in test automation and are able to automate functional test cases tested within a sprint cycle

About You

Essential Experience

  • You have multiple years experience working as a QA Analyst
  • You have a good understanding of testing principles and SDLC
  • Experience in hands on CMS testing of Drupal, Umbraco or Wordpress
  • Experience in Accessibility testing, manual and using web tools
  • Experience in Design verification and exposure to Figma
  • Experience in test automation with tools such as Cypress and Selenium 
  • You are familiar with the ISO29119 Testing Standard
  • You have a customer focused attitude, you are innovative, dynamic and capable of multi tasking

 

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in an agency or client project based environment
  •  ISTQB Foundation or equivalent qualification 
  • Knowledge of Jira, TestRail or similar test management system
