About The Role

TPXimpact is hiring Technical Architects across Senior, Lead, Principal levels to join our Digital Transformation technology capability. We have gained excellent traction and are working with prestigious, progressive organisations to drive their digital transformations.


As a Technical Architect, you will work with our clients and specialist teams to consult and deliver mission-critical, deep technical solutions across the enterprise. You will be responsible for setting the vision of a piece of work or the client's use of technology focusing on agile practices to deliver business value through technology ensuring project and client needs are met.


You would work alongside people who share an enthusiasm for technology, for an organisation that values technical quality at every layer, and one that will take an active role in training and improving your skill set.


This role can be based anywhere in the UK. We encourage you to work where you feel most effective. That may be at home, from one of our office hubs or a combination of both. The choice is yours. However you choose to work, you need to be comfortable working with your colleagues remotely as even if you choose to work in a hub, you will likely be working with people based elsewhere. Some travel to client sites may also be expected for this role. This would be for ceremonies such as kick-off meetings, rather than on a regular basis. 


 

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and guidance to technical teams, ensuring the effective use of common tools and patterns

  • leading the selection of technology and architecture approaches and advising stakeholders on these choices

  • Be accountable for supporting and aligning to client’s technology strategy and champion technical architecture 

  • Have a proactive responsibility to deliver secure systems and implement proportionate controls to enable business outcomes

  • Experiencing architection software solutions involving programming languages such as Java, Python and cloud solutions such as AWS

  • Investigate architectures, ensuring that architectural standards, principles and patterns are applied consistently and that architectural governance is followed 

  • Within architectural governance processes, identify, report and manage risks, issues and dependencies.

  • Ensure timely reporting of progress on architectural deliverables.

About You

Professional Knowledge and Experience

More than any specific list of skills or qualifications, we want Architects who love technology, and contribute their opinions to drive through the entire development lifecycle. We want individuals who bring something unique, in technical knowledge, experience or mindset. 

  • Hands-on experience with Java and Python

  • Proven experience in Technical architecture, governance, modelling and  standards.

  • Experience with Agile, CD approaches and industry good practice such as CI, TDD, and BDD, etc.

  • Working knowledge of clean code approaches such as refactoring, domain driven design, and encapsulation

  • Ability to work in a variety of collaborative team environments

  • Experience delivering cloud software solutions on AWS

  • Experience presenting technical concepts and recommendations to a non-technical audience in a clear, engaging way using a variety of artefacts

  • Successful delivery of complex projects in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines

  • Experience influencing and advising senior stakeholders and building trust with teams and clients

  • Strong report writing skills 

Salary Bands 

Offer levels are reflective of a Fixed Term Contract and seniority experience levels will be evaluated throughout the interview process.
