As a design researcher at TPXimpact, you’ll be responsible for exploring and gaining a deep understanding of user and organisational behaviours and needs in order to support and transform the delivery of public and non-for-profit policy and services. This includes everything from defining the research objectives to using the most appropriate methods from secondary, primary and participatory action research, even customising your own to develop actionable insights and measure the success of design solutions.
Currently, we’re solving problems with a range of clients from social care services to housing and digital land planning, from improving health services to education and building capability and design maturity in central government departments.
On client projects, you’ll work in delivery and policy teams to facilitate a deep understanding of the people and communities that use services and the organisations that deliver them. You’ll work as part of multidisciplinary teams, with designers to policy specialists and developers and collaboratively with other TPXimpact teams, from org design and change to community and political engagement. Within TPXimpact, you’ll be part of the Design research team and contribute to how we define and iterate our community of practice with the Head of Design Research.
We need more talented researchers to join our team who have a high level of curiosity to learn from a spectrum of perspectives and want to create a positive impact through their work.
We’re looking for people who might be seeking that next level in their career or at a similar level and interested in expanding their skills and domain experience somewhere new.
