About The Role

Growth is a large element of this role but we aren’t selling widgets or easily repeatable products. We sell ideas, concepts, approaches and trust. Trust in our expertise, trust in our quality and trust that we won’t let our clients or their users down. So the role holder will need to be a proposition developer, strategist, business developer and client relationship manager. 

You will work closely, with TPXimpact’s specialists across our end-to-end DDaT capabilities and in tight collaboration with our Marketing team, driving a lean and effective end-to-end sales process across the funnel. 

Your job is to know the sector, to understand the challenges faced by your target clients and translate how our approach and expertise can solve those challenges and pursue opportunities with new client prospects. You know the value of getting stuck-in to digital consulting - we don’t do generic slide decks. You’ll work with the Managing Partner and Partners in positioning our full-service offering that spans digital strategy, digital experience, design, delivery, technology, automation. 

Main responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the growth targets across your accounts and contribute to the wider success of both your sector team and the growth team overall

  • Growth activities relating to your areas of responsibility e.g. networking, events, bidding, pitches, strategic account management, thought leadership 

  • Building relationships and TPXimpact profile in client organisations and the wider sector

  • Developing and maintaining relationships within client organisations, so we develop a deep understanding of their dynamics, politics and culture and their current and future needs

  • Understanding client challenges they and we might face, and developing ways we can support them.

  • Seeking out and developing new opportunities with existing clients 

  • Preparation and presentation of Account Strategies

  • Harnessing a deep competitor awareness, meaning we understand their relationship with collaborators and competitors, and take steps accordingly to protect our relationship, profile and intent.

  • Leveraging opportunities to collaborate with the client and showcase the work / learning to raise the client and, where appropriate, TPXimpacts profile in the sector.

  • Working closely with delivery colleagues to ensuring client satisfaction in our delivery, approach and output

  • Building trust in TPXimpact and approach

  • Routinely building soft intel and collecting feedback from clients (and partners) about TPXimpact, sectors, other accounts, competitors, risks and or opportunities.

  • Identifying and pursuing areas for business development and growth

  • Develop  and manage an accurate pipeline of future requirements 

  • Maintaining up-to-date CRM records for leads, prospects and active deals 


  • An entrepreneurial nature - on behalf of client and brand, i.e. identifying opportunities to deliver further / adjacent work to support client’s aims

  • Ambitious, confident, enthusiastic individual with a “can-do” attitude.

  • Collaborative, innovative and passionate about providing high quality proposals and solutions for clients

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels


About You

Experience (Essential) 

Five plus years experience in the following:

  • Experience of successfully leading bids and formal competitive procurements

  • Management of either key accounts, or several accounts within an agency or consultancy, with successful delivery of outcomes

  • Development & ownership of key account plans, strategies and management

  • Reporting and sharing intel on opportunities, drawing on the support of both the sales team and the delivery team to progress through through to deal completion

  • Working understanding of public sector bids frameworks

  • Evidence of turning around poorly performing accounts with tricky stakeholders

  • Coordination across multiple business units such as resourcing, delivery, design and tech to ensure the teams meet the requirements of the projects

  • Willing to travel within the UK if required.

  • Customer focused with excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. 

Experience (Desired) 

  • Experience in winning new business in digital transformation, DDaT and/or user-centred design spaces

  • Experience working in the sector

  • A demonstrable network of useful contacts within the sector

  • Experience of overseeing the successful delivery of digital transformation projects 

  • Knowledge and experience working with key frameworks for this sector

  • Keen commercial awareness
