About The Role

Delivery Managers are the heart of multidisciplinary teams at TPXimpact. You’ll be part of the Delivery Team at TPXimpact, working alongside Principal Consultants to guide multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of projects large and small. You’ll be responsible for running Agile rhythms and rituals, ensuring the team is clear on their roles and responsibilities, helping teams prioritise the right work at the right time, working to ensure that clients are involved and excited about the work, and that projects deliver on time and on budget. 


As a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll be expected to use Agile methodologies to deliver our most complicated and high-profile projects and programmes. You may be working with a local council, a central government department, a health organisation or a third sector organisation with a multidisciplinary team of both colleagues from TPXimpact and the client team. 


You’ll have excellent project management skills, know when to challenge and when to listen, and be able to come up with and spot good ideas. You’ll be able to build relationships with clients at a senior level, helping them to champion Agile delivery and new delivery models. You’ll be comfortable acting as the glue that holds a team together, ensuring that the team has a shared vision for our work while also providing clarity for each individual’s roles and responsibilities. You’ll also feel comfortable stepping into more of a leadership role in projects that have smaller teams or tighter budgets where roles are usually more broad. 


As a Senior Delivery Manager, you’ll also contribute to our active Community of Practice by bringing your knowledge to the team and sharing with colleagues. You’ll also line manage 1-3 Delivery Managers, providing them with problem solving support, coaching and guidance during regular 121s. You’ll work closely with the Head of Delivery Management to ensure the team is well-resourced, supported, and using Agile approaches consistently across their projects. You’ll also support our Sales team in the writing, pitching, and winning of new work. You’ll also work with our Marketing & Communications team to communicate our work through blog posts, case studies, and public speaking.


About You

Experience (Essential)

  • Delivery management on a diverse range of projects as part of TPXimpact’s digital and design consultancy offer with responsibility for leading multiple projects at any given time
  • Agile project, product and delivery management, ensuring our projects are delivered on time and meet client requirements
  • Helping to shape how TPXimpact learns and applies the best and latest Agile thinking in all that we do, in product development, service and organisational design
  • Contributing to project strategy; helping shape the direction and vision of projects
  • Managing the rhythms and rituals of a multidisciplinary design team, helping the team collaborate, communicate and learn throughout delivery
  • Driving change; ensuring our clients are fully behind our ideas, our designs are implemented and we have champions for our agile approach to delivery
  • Inspire the teams you work with and be excited by the projects you manage; you’ll need to be creative and able to spot a good idea when you see one
  • Supporting TPXimpact management team in operational matters like project resourcing and quality control
  • Supporting sales activity ranging from the proposal and tender writing through to networking and speaking at engagement events

Experience (Desirable)

  • A track record of planning, managing and delivering projects, ensuring that projects keep within time and budget constraints 
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently 
  • A range of experience in designing and delivering change within large and complex environments using Agile methodologies to deliver projects effectively
  • Experience working with clients in local government, central government, or the third sector while managing stakeholders within large organisations
  • Excellent communication skills working within a multidisciplinary team and more broadly outside of the team to grow awareness 
  • The ability to help teams plan and prioritise their work over the project lifecycle, helping them understand what tradeoffs must be made to delivery a project effectively 
  • Comfort in playing a servant leadership role within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring the team works together well and has clarity on their roles and responsibilities 
  • Experience line managing colleagues while providing problem-solving support, coaching, and mentoring.
