About The Role

Our People Team are kept busy working on a variety of people-related activities on a day-to-day basis. Having recently merged 9 businesses, working inline to an exciting growth plan there are also a number of exciting projects to get involved in. 

You will be working closely with our Head of People,  People Business Partner and People Co-ordinator in a Generalist capacity - getting stuck into everything People related!

This is an exciting role for someone who has previous HR/people advisory experience and wants to get great exposure in a fast-paced People Team developing their generalist knowledge and skills.

  • Working closely with the Head of People and Business Partner to understand and execute the people plan - acting as a trusted advisor to the business
  • Ensuring the delivery of first class, professional, yet pragmatic support to the business - acting as a “champion” for the People Function.
  • Management of any issues and escalations in a timely and effective manner - identifying the root cause and solving for the immediate, but also for the future
  • Change Management (we are growing fast, so there is a lot to support) - working closely with the Head of People and Business Partner this may include planning, execution and communication of activities ie. restructures, TUPE 
  • Policy advice, guidance and coaching to managers on a full range of ER issues - Capability/Performance, Probation, Absence, Disciplinary, Grievance, ensuring a fair and consistent approach is taken in line with TPXimpact policy and best practice
  • Management of employee relations cases - supporting and advising the manager from start to finish (to successful resolution)
  • Responsibility for involvement in writing and maintaining compliant, efficient, and scalable people policies and procedures and communicating these clearly to managers and colleagues
  • Providing appropriate support to managers and colleagues in relation to employee wellbeing - including occupational health referrals, advice around reasonable adjustments inline with the Equality Act,  signposting individuals to other relevant support partners - ie. mental health first aiders, employee assistance programme
  • Producing and analysing People data for key stakeholders – e.g headcount, pay details, annual leave, contracted hours, identifying where process improvements are required, need creating or updating 
  • Working with the Business Partner on projects to drive the success and growth of the function and business - these may include recurring annual activities such as salary and performance reviews, as well as leading people projects 
  • Promoting the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) - employee benefits, career development, work environment, company culture, financial and non-financial reward and recognition and identifying potential gaps/improvements in these areas
  • Ensuring that the ongoing efficiency and integrity of our HRIS system (HiBob) is being met and the system is being used to its full capability, whilst constantly looking for ways to improve
  • Working with people ops colleagues to ensure the accurate and timely recording of monthly payroll data
  • Supporting and advising the wider people team on our people lifecycle - Starters, Leavers and Change
  • Working with internal colleagues to support implementation and adoption of DEI initiatives within the Group

About You

Experience (essential) 
  • Would suit someone with a strong generalist background, potentially looking to build on their existing knowledge and experience
  • Working knowledge of Employment Legislation
  • Working with curiosity to appropriately question, influence and advise to ensure the business assesses and understands the impacts of decisions on people
  • Ability to work in a face paced environment, thinking on their feet with a pragmatic approach
  • Good organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

Experience (nice to have)

  • CIPD Level 5 (or working towards this)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in an HR/People team
